A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination ( Academic or Vocational Stream ) conducted by the Govt of Tamilnadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent by the Syndicate of the University of Madras and with Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics as the subjects of study in the Higher Secondary Course.
B.Sc. Computer Science is the study of principles and fundamentals of computers, where latest technologies and trends are the most important topics. The course empowers students to deal with the technicalities and issues with knowledge of databases, programming languages and analytical skills. It is concerned with understanding, designing, execution and solving issues related to computer systems and applications.
The curriculum of B.Sc. Computer Science educates students with computing methods that have their roots in concepts of mathematics and computing. The course imparts knowledge about programming and database requisitions. HTML programming and Object Oriented Programming, Web Technologies, Database Management Programming and Systems, Data Security etc are some of the prominent subjects which are taught for understanding and solving problems prevailing in Software Industry.
B.Sc (Computer Science ) graduates have excellent career prospects in IT Companies, Technical Support, Insurance Providers, System Maintenance, Security and Surveillance Companies, Computers and Related Electronic Equipment Manufactures, Software Development Companies and Banking Sector
B.Sc (Computer Science ) graduates can also pursue Master’s degrees such as M.Sc., M.Phil. and then Ph.D. if they have a passion for research or teaching.
