The visit was arranged with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to industrial operations and enhancing their understanding of production processes in the food manufacturing sector.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the functioning of Modern Bakers, a well-known production unit engaged in bakery manufacturing. The primary focus of the visit was to study the production process of Parle-G biscuits. The session began with an informative briefing by the company representatives, who explained the history, operations and significance of the organisation in the food industry. Following the introduction, the students were taken on a guided tour of the production unit, where they observed various stages, including raw material handling, mixing and dough preparation, baking, cooling, quality inspection and packaging.

The technical staff provided detailed explanations at each stage of the process, highlighting the use of modern machinery, automation, and strict hygiene practices followed in the production environment. The students gained valuable insights into quality control measures, food safety standards and efficient production techniques. They also learned about the importance of coordination among workers and the role of management in ensuring smooth operations and timely distribution of products.
