Annual Sports Meet

The Annual Sports Meet of the College was held in college grounds. The college grounds was filled with students which otherwise would wear a deserted look during working hours on working days.

The opening ceremony began with the lighting of the Olympic torch by the Mr J Devadas Nayagam, Chairman, MCAS. The torch was taken round the Sports track by notable athletes of the college. The was followed by Oath taking ceremony by the athletes. The Chairman then declared the meet open. Ballons were released as part of the opening ceremony.

This was followed by the track and field events for both men and women. Track events such as 100 metres, 200 metres, 1,500 m and 4 × 100 metres relay were conducted for men. For women, track events such as 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay were conducted.

Field events such as Javelin Throw and Shot Put were conducted for both men and women.

Games were also conducted as part of the Sports day celebration. Games such as cricket, football, kabaddi and volleyball for men. For women. Games such as carrom, kho kho, kabaddi, and throwball were conducted.

Following this, certificates, medals and trophies were distributed to the winners.

Mr. R Santosh II BCA won the overall Individual Championship for men.

Ms. M. Manju III BCA won the overall Individual Championship for women.

The Sports meet concluded with the extinguishing of the Olympic flame and the National anthem was played.
