The curriculum of B. Com (Corporate Secretaryship) involves advanced study of the concepts and processes of corporate governance, with particular focus on the areas of secretarial practices and company laws. The program imparts Corporate Secretarial skills and prepares students for job responsibilities such as corporate management, investment management, legal formalities and economic legislations. It also trains students to be competent and versatile Company Secretaries.
The course has been designed to adequately prepare eligible candidates for job responsibilities such as convening meetings, maintaining statutory record books, drafting and executing agreements, managing dividend and interest payments, contracts, and resolutions. Prospective Corporate Secretaries learn to write a variety of documents including letters, business documents, email and memos
B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship) graduates have excellent access to job opportunities in companies as Corporate Secretaries and in various sectors such as banking and insurance, IT, MNC Companies. and private sectors. Graduates during the course of study would acquire sufficient knowledge to appear for competitive exams such as ICWA, CA, ACS, BSRB, UPSC, TNPSC etc for their careers in the Govt sector.
Graduates can also pursue their higher studies by joining courses such as M.Com, MBA, MCA etc.
