Chief Guest: Dr. M. Mercina, M Sc., M Phil., Ph D. Prof of Physics & Motivational Speaker

The Induction Programme was organized by the Management, Principal and Staff and senior students of the College to welcome the first-year students of the academic year 2024-25. The parents of the first-year students were also present on the occasion.

The programme started with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. This was followed by the lighting of the kuthuvilakku. The Chief Guest, Vice Chairperson, a staff member, a parent and a fresher student representing the various components of the Magna community lit each wick of the sacred lamp.

Ms A S Vanchi Ranjani, Asst Prof, Dept of English, welcomed the gathering. Dr V Joseph, Principal in his inaugural address advised the student to prepare for competitive exams even from the first year itself. Dr. M. Mercina, the Chief Guest urged the students to work hard to achieve academic excellence. Mrs Ruby Devadas, the Vice Chairperson, in her presidential address stressed the importance of the teacher and the taught to work in close co-ordination to get the desired results. Free text books were distributed to the students. Ms P Eswari, Asst Prof, Dept of Maths proposed the vote of thanks.
