The Onam was celebrated with the usual gaiety in the college with the Staff and Students arriving earlier than usual in the traditional Onam clothing to take part in the Poo Kollam competition. After the Chief Guest, Mrs. S. Surya Kumari who hails from Trivandaram, judged the best Kollam in the competition in which 6 teams participated, The formal function began in the Lincoln Hall. The programme began with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by a Bharatanatiyam performance by A. Vishnupriya, II B Com. The Chief Guest narrated the religious and social significance of the festival and pointed out its relevance even today. This was followed by a western dance and a traditional Malayalam dance. Thiru B. Thandavamurthy, Asst Prof. Dept of Tamil, presenting an elegy in memory of the lost lives in the Wayanad landslide tragedy. The programme than shifted outdoor.
Games such as tug -of- war, tyre shoot out and musical chair were conducted for both men and women. Prizes were distributed to winners. Refreshments were served to all the students.
